Good news: AutoCut is back on DaVinci Resolve Free 21.1!

Get back to editing

1. Open the AutoCut application directly and update to the latest version. If the update is unavailable or AutoCut will not open, download and install the latest AutoCut version from our website.

2. In AutoCut, install the DaVinci plugin when prompted, or click “Install the DaVinci plugin”. Approve the administrator prompt if requested.

3. Save your work, quit DaVinci Resolve completely, then reopen it. Restarting AutoCut or reopening a project alone is not enough.

4. In Resolve, choose Workspace > Scripts > AutoCut.

If the plugin installation fails, click Retry in AutoCut. If AutoCut still cannot connect after installation and a full Resolve restart, contact our support team with your operating system, Resolve edition/version and the message shown.
